Bergen Group awarded LOI on completion of the YME-platform

NORWAY: Bergen Group Rosenberg AS has received a letter of intent from Single Buoy Moorings Offshore Contractors that they will be awarding Bergen Group Rosenberg a contract for assistance during the completion of the YME Mobile Offshore Production Unit with Storage jack up platform.

The extent of the contract is yet to be finalized but the total value is expected to be of some tens of millions NOK.

The Yme platform, which will produce for Talisman Energy Norge AS, is presently being completed in Abu Dahbi and is scheduled to arrive in Norway in May 2010. The platform will then arrive at Bergen Group Rosenberg where the jack up legs and other equipment will be installed. The platform will then be towed to the offshore location for offshore hook up and completion which is scheduled to be completed in July 2010.

Bergen Group Rosenberg has assisted SBM during 2009 and evaluates this award as a positive recognition by SBM. Bergen Group has a total of 2,000 employees and 600 of these are associated with Bergen Group Rosenberg. The Group had a turnover of NOK 5.1 billion in 2009.
